I’ve been invited to perform at Kadare Night at St Gabriel’s Church in London on 30th January. This is a BACA event and it follows the outstanding success of its inaugural celebration in 2025.
Kadare Night second edition 2026, continues an annual tradition that honours the literary legacy of Ismail Kadare and serves as a flagship global event for the British Albanian Culture & Arts Association.

I’ll be performing a new song I’ve written based on the beautiful poem ‘Mall (Longing)’ by Ismail Kadare.
‘Mall’ – by Ismail Kadare
Some raindrops fell on the glass.
For you I suddenly felt longing.
We both live in the same city,
And we rarely see each other, so rarely.
It seemed a little strange to me too.
How come this autumn, this morning.
Dark skies without storks
And rains without rainbows in between.
And the old saying of Heraclitus
What the hell just occurred to me today:
“The wise are together in the world,
But the sleepers are apart”.
What kind of dream have we fallen into so badly,
Why aren’t we waking up?…
Some raindrops fell on the glass
And I didn’t feel longing for you.
